Jogscotland Dunfermline (JSD) is a well established group with over 90 current members (2019). The group was set up in May 2003 by a team of experienced runners and is still going strong under the guidance of the only remaining founder member Christine Garvie.

The experienced runners came from local running groups such as Pitreavie AAC Road Runners and The Carnegie Harriers. Christina Boxer came along from the headquarters to give us an introduction on the ethos of JogScotland. Our founder members were all very keen to share their knowledge and experience to help inspire and motivate others. From this, JogScotland Dunfermline was born initially with five jog leaders.

The role of a jog leader is to support the development of the members regardless of their ability level. Whether you are an advanced runner or a walker, there will be a jog leader there for you and your goals.

The group supports local running events such as the Parkrun and encourages members to set goals and running milestones of which these events can play a part.

It is our belief that the enjoyment of running comes from belonging to a motivational group, a bunch of like minded non-competitive people with whom you can share your experiences with and learn from one another.
