Debbie
Debbie was living in Germany when she joined the Territorial Army as a Dog Handler. Dog handling required a high level of fitness and being attached to the regular Army, Debbie was able to attend fitness training every morning. However, in 1995 Debbie moved to Scotland but then found that her new work schedule did not allow time to join in with any of the local running Groups. Determined to continue to keep fit, Debbie trained on her own until her work situation changed in April 2010. This made it possible to join an evening running group and on the recommendation of a friend signed up for Jog Scotland Dunfermline in April 2014.
Debbie found that training with the group helped her running performance, confidence and feeling of security and after a year of being a member, her enthusiasm for Jog Scotland and her desire to help others was so great, that when asked to help out she was delighted to be able to attend a Jog Scotland course and become a qualified Leader at Dunfermline in May 2015.
